Celebrity blonding expert Kim Vo shot to fame as a featured hairstylist on ABC’s Extreme Makeover and Bravo’s Shear Genius. As a salon owner and product developer, his clients included A-list stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman, Katy Perry, and more.
Interviewed by Winn Claybaugh in 2006, Kim described his early life and shared his recipe for success, which included working hard and staying true to himself. Sadly, Kim lost his battle with cancer in 2026 but will always be remembered for his generosity, teaching, and passion for hairdressing.
