Counting Elizabeth Taylor and Goldie Hawn among her favorite clients, she was living a hairdresser’s dream—until her drug and alcohol addiction caused her to lose her home, her career, and nearly her children.
Interviewed by Winn Claybaugh in 2012, Carrie shared her journey to recovery and her successful quest to rebuild her life. Sadly, Carrie died from cancer in 2022 but her legacy as the “First Lady of Hairdressing” lives on.
